R-gen® 262 CAS No 100011-37-8 photoinitiator
Description
R-gen® 262 belongs to the class of cationic organometallic photoinitiators. It provides excellent light absorption and high resolution for epoxy curing. Thermal cure may be needed after photo activation of the catalyst depending on the kind of resin used. Although it is not as efficient cationinc photoinitiators as the sulfonium salts, it does have the advantage of stability of the cured image. Besides the photobleaching property make deep penetration can be
easily achieved. It can cure coatings and castings up to several millimeters in thickness. Its use in combination with hydroperoxide and/or photosensitizers such as ITX or anthracene, the thermal requirements tends to substantially reduced.
